The Project continues, albeit with a slight hiccup. The leather chosen for the project, the 60 year old Sedgwick’s Bridle leather, is a little too thin to support the structure of the design. So instead I am going to use some of the wonderful Chestnut Lamport from Metropolitan Leather. The Sedgwick’s will still be incorporated by using it for the fastening and the gussets. The customer has also decided on red thread for the stitching. Going to look rather good I think.
The buckle arrived and has been fitted to the Chestnut Bridle leather belt blank. Many thanks to the excellent service from Artisan Leather
